ShARP – Proud to be a Centre for Warmth

We are proud to announce that ShARP has been awarded funding from Northern Gas Networks through the Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA) to establish the ShARP Centre for Warmth.

The Centre for Warmth initiative, developed by Cadent Gas in 2021, aims to support vulnerable households by providing energy efficiency advice, carbon monoxide safety information, and assistance with managing fuel costs. Since its inception, the program has expanded significantly, with over 200 centres established across the UK, delivering practical support to thousands of low-income households.

Our Centre for Warmth Advice Worker will raise awareness about the dangers of carbon monoxide, offer energy advice, budgeting advice, debt advice, and negotiate with energy providers to establish payment plans for people struggling to manage fuel costs.

The Centre for Warmth is a welcoming, safe space with a range of activities running every day to offer opportunities to meet people, make friends, and enjoy new interests.

Drop in to find out more or call 0191 3856687 and ask for the Centre for Warmth.
